Espiritu Welcomes Chef Enrique Olvera to the Los Cabos Culinary Scene

Beyond our own acclaimed restaurants, Luna and Tashi at Club Ninety Six, Los Cabos is emerging as Mexico’s premier culinary travel destination, with a globally-inspired foodie scene that attracts some of the world’s top chefs. We are delighted to announce that Mexican Chef Enrique Olvera, who runs the renowned Pujol in Mexico City and Cosme in New York City, is opening what is sure to become one of Cabo’s new hotspots.

Chef Olvera’s Manta opens later this month at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel in Cabo San Lucas. In a new New York Times feature, Olvera explains what attracted him to Los Cabos.

“The Sea of Cortez is known as one of the best places in Mexico to get fish. Actually, most of the fish I get at Pujol, I get from the Baja Peninsula,” Olvera told The Times. “We flew in and I saw the property and I just thought it was for me. It’s a destination you go to to take time off, to reset yourself.”

Cabo’s eclectic and sophisticated culinary scene is among its biggest attractions with endless choices for even the most discerning of epicures. Many of the area’s top restaurants are located a golf cart ride or short drive away from Espiritu. Below is our selection of top places to dine while in Los Cabos.
