Espiritu Welcomes New Restaurants, Luna & Tashi, to the Club Ninety Six Beach Club

A new culinary culture is taking shape at Espiritu, where celebrating and appreciating fine food is an intrinsic part of the vacation experience enjoyed by homeowners and guests. Espiritu is pleased to welcome two new restaurants, Luna and Tashi, now open for dinner at the Club Ninety Six beach club, the private club serving the Del Mar Development resort communities in Los Cabos – Espiritu, Villas Del Mar and Oasis Palmilla. Each distinct restaurant offers an eclectic blend of global cuisine, fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and a warm, inviting ambiance in a setting of unrivaled beauty overlooking Palmilla Bay.

Luna is Executive Chef Jorge Contrera’s take on contemporary Mexican cuisine, inspired by his own upbringing in Mexico and his time spent cooking in some of New York and Spain’s finest kitchens. Chef Contreras has combined traditional cooking techniques with an inventive blend of ingredients to create signature dishes that feature bold, worldly tastes and complex flavors, from his Suckling Pig and Crackling Skin to the Short Ribs in Mole de Olla. Carefully crafted dishes, like the Five Pepper Rubbed Strip Steak and Mesquite Smoked Octopus, are prepared on an open-flame grill, connecting guests to the smells, sights and sounds of cooking. Luna offers alfresco dining on the club’s lower ocean-view terrace in an ambiance of casual elegance, paired with the warmth and hospitality of old world Mexico. View Luna’s menu here.

Tashi is a casual, upscale sushi and tapas bar featuring an eclectic blend of local flavors paired with fresh catch delivered daily by the local fisherman who set out to sea just steps from the beach club. Chef Jorge uses artisanal local ingredients to give authentic Mexican flare to traditional Japanese style cuisine. Dine alfresco on the club’s ocean-view upper terrace or order omakase at the indoor sushi bar and watch the chef’s craft the boldly flavored rolls to taste. View Tashi’s menu here.

During the day, the Club Ninety Six Grill features a new, extensive lunch menu that includes traditional Mexican cuisine, pan seared fresh catch, a burger bar, gourmet pizzas, organic salads and a fresh ceviche menu, served poolside. Club Ninety Six fare may also be enjoyed in the comfort of your villa, with the In-Residence dining menu and delivery service available for lunch and dinner.

Espiritu homeowners and guests enjoy an array of fine dining restaurants and cafés – nine to be exact – all within a short walk or golf cart ride away from their private seaside villa.
